Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori on Saturday visited Yousuf Goth where he awarded a plot to a family bereaved by a road accident involving a dumper truck.
He also announced educational support and monthly stipend for the children of the woman who had died in the accident.
As per a statement issued by the Governor House, Tessori visited Yousuf Goth to meet Nazar Abbas, who was injured in a recent road accident while his wife died.
During the visit, the governor personally handed over the file of an 80-square-yard plot to the family.
He announced that the educational expenses and monthly stipend for the children of the deceased woman would be provided under his personal supervision. In response to a request from a widow present on the occasion, he promised to sponsor her Umrah pilgrimage.
He further declared that children from Yousuf Goth would be given admissions to the free IT courses currently being offered at the Governor House to help them build independent futures.
In a broader gesture of support, Tessori invited all individuals affected by road accidents to the Governor House on April 12 at 2pm where more plots would be distributed and a collective action plan devised in consultation with the victim families.
