HYDERABAD: A resident of Tando Jam, Gulzar Ahmed, has appealed to the higher authorities to take notice of the police's lack of cooperation in recovering his kidnapped son Muhammad Farrukh.
Addressing a press conference at the Hyderabad Press Club along with his relatives, Ahmed said his son was a final year student at the Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam, who left home after Iftar on March 19, 2025 and mysteriously disappeared.
He stated that two hours after his son had left the house, the kidnappers called his daughter's phone number from Farrukh’s phone and demanded a ransom of Rs2 million. He said he informed the Tando Jam police about the ransom call but the police did nothing after filing an FIR of kidnapping.
The father alleged that the investigation committee formed by the Hyderabad SSP to recover his son had not yet been able to find even the slightest trace of the abducted youth.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad SSP Adeel Chandio told The News that a five-member investigation committee, which included the Tando Jam DSP, had been formed to investigate the suspected kidnapping of Farrukh.
