A 17-year-old girl took her own life in Machar Colony after a dispute with her mother.
Police and rescue teams arrived at a house in Docks area’s Machhar Colony after receiving information about the incident. They found the body of a teenage girl, which was later taken to the Civil Hospital for legal formalities.
According to SHO Nafees ur Rehman, the deceased was identified as Muskan, daughter of Abu Bakar. Initial investigations suggested that the incident was a suicide.
The family informed police that Muskan had a heated argument with her mother over an undisclosed matter. Distressed by the situation, she went to a room of their house on the first floor and hanged herself using a rope. After completing the necessary legal procedures, police handed over the body to the family.
