Islamabad woke up to little showers coupled with strong winds and thunder before the daybreak on Monday to keep the Ramazan fast.
Though the rain turned the weather pleasant across the city and adjoining areas, the ensuing daytime remained hot, humid and dry to the botheration of those outside their places for one reason or the other.
The weathermen said there was just a 'trace' of rainfall suggesting it’s not enough to register.
He however, said 13 millimetres rain was recorded in the nearby hill station of Murree.
According to the weather man, low pressure lies over central parts of the country with its trough extending south-eastward.
Moderate moist currents from Arabian Sea are penetrating into upper parts of the country and are likely to continue for three to four more days.
A fresh westerly wave is likely to enter upper parts of the country today (Tuesday) evening or night to cause another spell of pre-monsoon rains, which will last until Wednesday.
On Monday, the minimum and maximum temperatures recorded in the federal capital were 39 and 26 degree centigrade respectively with the humidity level being around 80 per cent.
