Four injured in as many firing incidents

Four people were injured in separate firing incidents in the city on Tuesday.

An 18-year-old youth identified as Rehan Butt, son of Saleem Butt, sustained injuries when he was shot for resisting a robbery bid in the Korangi area within the limits of the Zaman Town police station.

He was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Police have registered a case and initiated investigations.

In another incident, a 20-year-old man, Muhammad, son of Dadu Khan, was wounded in a robbery attempt in Jamali Goth in the Sohrab Goth area near the Super Highway.

Meanwhile, a dispute led to firing near the Falaknaz Society in the Memon Goth area, leaving 35-year-old Akram, son of Asghar, injured.

Another altercation resulted in firing near Malik Chowk in Orangi Town’s Mominabad area, injuring 20-year-old Azhar Abbas, son of Rab Nawaz. The victim was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. A case has been registered and investigations are under way.
