ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) parliamentary leader in the Senate Irfan Siddiqui Wednesday visited Darul Uloom Haqqania in Akora Khattak to offer condolences for the martyrdom of Maulana Hamid ul Haq.
He met Maulana Abdul Haq II, the late leader’s son, and expressed heartfelt sympathies. The gathering included Maulana Rashid ul Haq Sami, deputy administrator of Darul Uloom, and other Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (S) leaders. Siddiqui hailed Maulana Hamid ul Haq’s leadership in managing Darul Uloom after his father, Maulana Sami ul Haq’s martyrdom, and his role in keeping JUI-S active in national politics. He condemned the terrorist attack on the seminary and the targeted killing, calling it a national loss. Stressing unity against terrorism, Siddiqui stated, “The attack on Darul Uloom and Maulana Hamid ul Haq’s martyrdom remind us to eradicate terrorism. The government is committed to ensuring his sacrifice does not go in vain.”
