Islamabad: In a landmark move, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has given approval in principal to the establishment of campuses of Islamabad’s National University of Sciences and Technology, National University of Science and Technology, and COMSATS University in Karachi.
The move comes in line with the prime minister’s vision to expand quality education essential for economic growth in the country, according to the ministry. It added that a temporary campus of the COMSATS University would be set up at CWHR Hub Road, while a Rs4.6 billion PC-I had been submitted for a dedicated campus of the university. 3 POs wanted in attempted murder, cheque dishonour cases nabbed
Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Police on Monday arrested three proclaimed offenders (POs) wanted in attempted murder and cheque dishonour cases. According the police spokesman, the Sadiqabad Police nabbed two accused Atif and Asif, who had shot injured their sister on a house dispute, and had been on the run since then. The case of the incident was registered at the Sadiqabad Police Station last year. Meanwhile, the Wah Cantt Police captured Waseem, a proclaimed offender wanted in the cheque dishonour case. The case against the accused was lodged during the year.
