Nawadiraat, a vast collection of stories and tales from every language in one place, launched record-keeping of global dictionaries at the Arts Council of Pakistan on Friday.

Speaking at its inaugural ceremony, its chief, Afsheen Zeeshan, said they will launch their multilingual dictionary on a global scale. She said that there is no digital transformation of the Urdu language and no effort to make Urdu aligned with a digital world.

She said they are making a digital Urdu, Persian, and Arabic dictionary. She noted that Nawadiraat is more than just an initiative; it is a transformative step toward shaping a progressive and self-sustaining Pakistan.

This programme addresses critical socio-economic challenges by fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. She said that given Pakistan's growing youth population, evolving economic landscape, and pressing need for technological advancement, Nawadiraat can catalyze national growth.

For Nawadiraat to achieve its full potential, support from the government, universities, research institutions, media, researchers, language experts, poets, writers, journalists, and the corporate sector is crucial. “Their involvement can significantly amplify the impact of this initiative,” she said.
