Islamabad:The chief election commissioner of the Federal Government College Teachers Association (FGCTA), Dr. Fida Ul Mustafa, officially announced the results of the newly elected central body during a ceremony held at Islamabad Model Postgraduate College, H-8, says a press release.
According to the results, Muhammad Akram, assistant professor at H-8 college, has been elected as the President of FGCTA. Ayesha Kiran, lecturer at F-7/2 college, will serve as the senior vice president, while Bushra Kauser, assistant professor at G-10/4 college, has been elected as the vice president.
For key administrative positions, Tahir Bhatti, Assistant Professor at H-9 College, has been elected as the General Secretary, and Danish Yaseen lecturer at H-8 college will serve as the Joint Secretary. Zubairuddin, Assistant Professor at F-10/4 College, has been elected as the Finance Secretary, while Sobia Masood, Assistant Professor at F-7/2 College, will take on the role of Press & Information Secretary. During their speeches, the newly elected office bearers assured the teaching community of their commitment to addressing key challenges faced by faculty members. They pledged to work towards improving working conditions, resolving administrative issues, and strengthening the association’s role in advocating for teachers’ rights.
