Man, minor son among three suffer gunshot wounds

Three people, including a man and his minor son, were wounded by accidental firing and stray bullets in the Pirabad and Awami Colony localities on Wednesday.

According to details, a mysterious firing incident occurred inside a house in Frontier Colony, Sector 3, within the jurisdiction of the Pirabad police station. The incident left 40-year-old Asif Saeed and his 15-year-old son Munsif Asif wounded. They were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

SHO Imtiaz said that during the initial investigation, it was found that the injured man’s brother Kamran was cleaning his licensed pistol inside the house when it accidentally discharged, injuring the father and son. The officer said the injured man has declined legal action.

Separately, in the jurisdiction of the Awami Colony police station, a firing incident occurred in Korangi, Sector 36-C, where 40-year-old Munir was wounded and taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. According to police officials, the injury occurred due to a stray bullet. However, further investigation is under way.
