LAHORE:Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain said that there is a favourable environment and the best time for investment in Punjab. World-class industrial infrastructure has been provided in industrial centres. A railway station is also being built in the industrial estate under the auspices of FIEDMC.
He shared these views while talking to Turkish Consul General Durmus Bastug who called on him at the Punjab Investment Board here on Thursday. Turkish President’s visit to Pakistan in mid-February, investment opportunities in Punjab and investment issues of Turkish companies in Punjab were discussed during the meeting. In the meeting, it was agreed to increase investment of Turkish companies in various sectors of Punjab and promote bilateral trade.
The provincial minister invited Turkish investment companies to invest in the EV sector and increase investment in other sectors. Speaking on the occasion, the provincial minister said that Turkish companies have invested in agriculture, energy, health, livestock and other sectors in Punjab. Turkish companies are also invited to invest in the electric vehicles sector.
The provincial minister said that Turkish investors should take advantage of the investment opportunities and facilities in Punjab. It is the best time for Turkish companies to increase investment in various sectors of Punjab.
Turkish Consul General Durmus Bastug said that Turkish investors are ready to increase their investment in various sectors of Punjab and joint ventures will also be made with local investors. He said that the visit of the Turkish President to Pakistan will increase bilateral trade cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Chairman Punjab Investment Board Muntaha Ashraf, DG Dr Sohail Ahmed, Director Dr Imran Hashmi and others. Commercial Counselor of the Turkish Consulate Nurettin Demir was also present in the meeting.
