DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Sunday rejected the conviction of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the Al-Qadir Trust case and called it unjust and politically motivated.
Talking to various delegations at his residence in Dera Ismail Khan, the chief minister remarked that Imran Khan was punished for his efforts to establish a university.
Talking about his government’s efforts, he said that he was working for the welfare of people.
He stated that the PTI-led provincial government was taking concrete steps to improve the lives of citizens and had initiated a network of development projects across the province.
“We are focusing on enhancing the health, education, and infrastructure sectors to provide better services to the people,” he said. He further added that provincial ministers, advisors, and elected representatives had been directed to actively oversee the progress of development projects in their respective areas to ensure timely completion and transparency.
The chief minister reaffirmed his dedication to public welfare and condemned what he described as baseless and punitive measures against PTI leaders who had devoted themselves to serving the nation.
The chief minister spent a busy day in Dera Ismail Khan addressing public grievances during his visit to his hometown.
On the first day of his visit, the chief minister welcomed locals at his residence, Al-Amin House, where he personally listened to their grievances and issued on-the-spot directives to resolve some of the problems.
