Islamabad: Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, visited the Islamabad Model Jail on Saturday, accompanied by member engineering and other officials, to review the ongoing construction progress.
He inspected various components, including the road infrastructure, boundary wall, administration block, hospital, and barracks. During the briefing, it was revealed that the administration block and boundary wall are expected to be completed by next month. Over 88% of the barracks construction has been completed, while work on the hospital is in its final stages.
The road infrastructure is also progressing rapidly and nearing completion. Chief Commissioner Randhawa expressed satisfaction with the progress and directed the timely completion of all remaining work, ensuring high-quality standards. He also instructed officials to allocate areas inside and around the jail for maximum plantation to enhance the green cover.
