SUKKUR: President Asif Ali Zardari offered Fateha and laid wreath of flowers at the shrine of Sakhi Laal Shehbaz Qalandar in Sehwan Sharif on Sunday.
President Asif Ali Zardari paid a visit to the shrine of Qalandar Lal Shahbaz, laid a shawl, recited Fateh and prayed for the safety of the country. Strict security arrangements were put in place at the arrival of the President.
Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Sehwan by helicopter at the helipad at the Mella Ground, where Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, PPP District Jamshoro President Syed Asif Ali Shah, Muhammad Saleem Bajari, former MNA Sardar Sikandar Ali Rahopoto, Malik Asad Sikandar, Minister for Auqaf Syed Riaz Hussain Shah welcomed him.
Before President Asif Ali Zardari reached Sehwan, Dargah Qalandar Lal Shahbaz shrine was completely closed for general pilgrims, while the encroachments were removed from the city and the roads were also sealed.
