Islamabad : Azerbaijani Ambassador Khazar Farhadov highlighted the strong friendship and mutual support between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and emphasised his commitment to further strengthening the bilateral relationship.
He made these remarks during a meeting with a business delegation that had visited the embassy to offer condolences following the tragic plane crash in Azerbaijan, which resulted in numerous casualties. The delegation, led by Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan of the Centaurus Group, included prominent business figures from Islamabad and Rawalpindi, such as Shafiq Akbar of Imarat Group, Amir Hussain of Tesla Ltd, Umais Khattak of Khattak Sons Ltd, and Umer Hussain of Karachi Steel. Together, they expressed their heartfelt solidarity with the Azerbaijani people in this time of sorrow.
Sardar Yasir conveyed that the tragic loss of life in the crash had deeply saddened the people of Pakistan, who stand united with their Azerbaijani brothers and sisters in grief. He reiterated that Pakistan's ties with Azerbaijan have always been strong and enduring. "We offer our prayers for all those affected by this tragedy," he said.
