FAISALABAD: The Special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Faisalabad has declared PTI MNA Ali Afzal Sahi and his brother, MPA Junaid Afzal Sahi, absconders for failing to appear in hearings of the May 9 case.
The court issued a proclamation requiring their presence on January 2. The trial pertains to the alleged burning of a police van in the Civil Lines police station jurisdiction. Despite court summons, the lawmakers failed to appear, prompting the court to initiate proceedings to declare them absconders. Through a publicly issued notice, both have been ordered to be present before the court by January 2.
