Karachi
The secretariat of the Pak Sarzameen Party on Sharea Faisal was inaugurated on Saturday.
The party which was founded in March had initially set up its office in DHA.
The offices in different provinces were opened earlier. Former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal and his aides who were previously affiliated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement parted ways with the party accusing MQM chief Altaf Hussain of having ties with Indian intelligence agency RAW and involvement in criminal activities.
After inaugurating the office, Kamal appealed to the higher authorities to find missing MQM activists and pardon all those who wanted to quit the party
The PSP is yet to be registered with the Election Commission of Pakistan.
The temporary office in Defence had irked residents who had complained to Kamal about privacy issues.
Before the inauguration the Pak Sarzameen Party secretariat, the national anthem was sung and the party’s flag hoisted at the office.
Several people from all walks of life, including women and children, were present on the occasion to witness the inauguration of the PSP secretariat.
