ISLAMABAD: The Ministry for Religious Affairs will complete the process for the selection of commercial banks to receive Haj applications under the government’s regular scheme in the first week of November.
The tender committee of the Ministry of Religious Affairs on Friday opened tenders which were submitted by 15 commercial banks containing their offers.
The tender committee headed by Joint Secretary Sajjad Haider Yaldram also comprises Joint Secretary Chaudhry Asadullah Faiz, Chief Finance and Accounts Officer Zulfiqar Khan, Deputy Secretary Haj Operation Nasir Aziz Khan and other officials.
A statement issued by the ministry said the opening of tenders was performed in the presence of banks’ representatives. The total quota of 179,210 for Pakistan would be bifurcated equally (89,605 each) between the government and private Haj schemes. The tentative Haj package of government’s Haj scheme for Haj 2025 would be between Rs1,075,000 and Rs1,175,000.
