Islamabad:The two-day Second Inter-Board Coordination Commission Annual Conference, themed ‘Building a Brighter Future: The Role of Technology in Assessment,’ opened at the Allama Iqbal Open University here on Wednesday.
The event, which brought together national and international educational boards, industry leaders, and policymakers, aims to advance technology-driven assessment solutions in Pakistan, according to organisers.
IBCC executive director Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah opened the conference, emphasising the need for collaboration among national and international organisations to foster innovative and standardised assessment systems. Education minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, who was present there as the chief guest, highlighted technology's crucial role in modernising Pakistan's education, particularly in ensuring fairness, transparency, and adaptability in assessments.
