PESHAWAR: A policeman has been rounded up for allegedly faciliting the suicide bomber who had blown himself up in the mosque of the Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines in January last year, a source told The News on Friday.
As many as 86 people were martyred and more than 200 injured in the biggest attack on police in the country.
The source said that Constable Wali from Mohmand, who was posted at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines at the time of attack, had been taken into custody and shifted to unknown location. He was presently deployed at the Bus Rapid Transit.
Senior police officials, however, did not confirm or deny the arrest when approached for comments.
