Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said corruption is a menace, and no stone should be left unturned to get rid of this issue.
He issued these directives to Sindh Minister for Sports, Agriculture, and Anti-corruption Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar while meeting him at the Bilawal House on Tuesday.
The provincial minister briefed the PPP Chairman about the anti-corruption measures of the Sindh government and the steps to promote sporting and farming activities in Sindh.
Separately, Bilawal also met Sindh PPP President and Chairman Public Accounts Committee of the Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro.
Khuhro briefed the PPP chairman about party’s organisational and political affairs in Sindh. He also briefed him about the fiscal performance of different provincial government’s departments in his capacity as the PAC chairman.
Bilawal asked Khuhro to do his best to improve the fiscal performance of the provincial government departments.
Meanwhile, Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani also met the PPP chairman and briefed him about prevailing water crisis in the city and steps taken by the government to resolve the water woes.
Sindh Minister for Irrigation and Food Jam Khan Shoro also called on Bilawal and briefed him on the repair work for the damaged gate of the Sukkur barrage and the situation of irrigation water available to Sindh.
The PPP chairman also met Sindh Chief Minister’s Adviser on Cooperatives Department Ehsan Mazari and received a briefing about the working of his department.
PPP Shikarpur District President Abid Hussain Bhayo also held a meeting Bilawal and briefed him on political and organisational affairs of the party in Shikarpur.
