ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a flood alert for the hills in the Dera Ghazi Khan Division and the streams in the Zhob, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Kalat, Larkana, and Hyderabad divisions.
Medium to high levels of flash flooding are anticipated, according to it. The NDMA directed all relevant departments to implement precautionary measures to reduce the impact of potential flooding and severe weather.
It advised residents in affected areas to steer clear of floodwaters and relocate to safer places away from flood-prone regions. The NDMA also recommended the use of alternative routes to avoid areas at risk of flooding.
