PHCBA demands probe into DI Khan attack

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court Bar Association on Saturday demanded judiciary inquiry into the attack on the security squad of judges in Dera Ismail Khan.

A press release said that the demand was made at a meeting of the association with its president Fida Gul Advocate in the chair. Other office-bearers of the association also attended the meeting. Expressing concern over the attack, the meeting demanded judicial inquiry into the attack. The participants asked the government to take steps to improve the worsening law and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The meeting offered fateha for the fallen cops.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani Branch of the International Law Association also condemned the attack and expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of the cops in the Dera Ismail Khan attack.

International Law Association Pakistan Interprovincial Coordinator Nasir Alizai Advocate in a statement said the law and order was getting worse day by day in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that it was the responsibility of the government to provide foolproof security to the judges. He said that such attacks were aimed at creating hurdles in the dispensation of justice.
