ISLAMABAD: Member Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council (KPBA) and Chairman Inter-Provincial Coordination Committee advocate Ahmed Farooq Khattak thanked the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) for recommending the appointment of ad hoc judges in the Supreme Court (SC).
In a statement issued here they thanked the Judicial Commission members for considering their demand of appointing ad hoc judges in the Supreme Court.
He said that prisoners in various jails across Pakistan are waiting for the disposal of their appeals pending for the last 20 years.
He demanded that more eight ad hoc judges should be appointed in all four registries of the Supreme Court so that the cases of common people could be fixed for hearing on urgent basis.
He also demanded that Parliament, while amending the Constitution, should establish a constitutional court for the sake of immediate justice
to the common Pakistanis so that the Supreme Court should not waste time on constitutional and political cases.
