Sarwar visits control room of Solid Waste Management

Punjab Minister for Labour and Manpower Raja Ashfaq Sarwar visited control room of Solid Waste Management Company, and witnessed the mechanism to monitor the sanitation vehicle movements and garbage collection work to keep the areas neat and clean.

Parliamentary Secretary Raja Javed Ikhlas, Solid Waste Management Company Chairman and MPA Raja Muhammad Hanif, MD Irfan Ahmed Qureshi, Secretary Barister Mudassar Chaudhry, and MIS Manager Ehsan Azmat Malik also present on the occasion.

Raja Ashfaq Sarwar appreciated the networking of Solid Waste Management Monitoring system introduced to ensure proper working of sanitary staff of Albayrak which has been given responsibilities to lift the garbage from collection points on daily basis and if any kind of slackness being observed the monitoring unit point out the fault immediately for rectification. The Punjab minister said that there is visible change in the sanitary conditions in the areas where Solid Waste Management Company is operative. He said capacity building training should also be conducted to further improve the efficiency of the field staff.

Raja Muhammad Hanif briefed about the Management Information System placed in head office of Solid Waste Management Company and said that the system enabled to identify ghost employees and helped improve the performance of field staff.

Irfan Ahmed Qureshi said that latest vehicle tracking system, 24-hour compliance system and biometric attendance method helped enhance the working capacity of field staff.

He informed that presently Solid Waste Management Company is extending services in all seven tehsils of Rawalpindi District.
