The Sindh Assembly was informed on Monday that the spiritual leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, would come to Karachi to stay in the provincial capital during Muharram.

This was disclosed by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in his brief remarks during the session of the provincial assembly holding a general discussion on the newly presented budget of the Sindh government.

Shah informed the legislature that the Dawoodi Bohra leader is visiting Pakistan on the invitation of President Asif Ali Zardari. The CM said he had gone to Tahiri Masjid in Saddar a day earlier to finalise the arrangements for the visit. “I do my best to continue delivering to the people. I don’t want any sort of publicity for my work,” he said. The Dawoodi Bohra community leader had spent time in the country in 2017 during Muharram.
