Upon receiving the alert, officials from the water corporation arrived at the site to inspect the damaged line.

KWSC Chief Operating Officer Engineer Asadullah Khan directed the relevant authorities to expedite the restoration work on the affected line on an emergency basis to prevent inconvenience to the residents.

Despite the disruption at the Hub Pumping Station, water supply from the Dhabeji Pumping Station to the city continues as usual, according to the KWSC spokesperson.

The spokesperson also mentioned that the city typically received a total of 650 million gallons per day (MGD) of water, and an 80 MGD shortfall was expected due to the interruption. Until the repair of the affected line is completed, the water corporation's Crush Plant One and Crush Plant Two hydrants would be temporarily closed, and the online tanker service at both hydrants would remain suspended.

The KWSC chief engineer bulk said the repair work on the damaged line would be completed within the next 24 hours. Areas in District West and District Keamari will suffer water shortage and their residents have been advised to store water.
