Islamabad: The Federal Ministry of Education and Vocational Training has announced that a high-level delegation from Google will soon visit Pakistan.
The purpose of the visit is to explore potential cooperation in the fields of education and technology, aiming to enhance educational outcomes and expand access to quality education, especially for out-of-school children, according to an official of the education ministry.
He said the visit would come at the ministry's request to Google for support in developing a digitally enabled education system in Pakistan.
The official said preliminary work had already been carried out by advanced teams from Google, which had expressed enthusiasm about the potential collaboration. He said the ministry had also organised a national workshop with various stakeholders to discuss technological solutions for educating out-of-school children and to explore further cooperation in the education and technology sectors.
