The protesters were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans demanding proper raise in their salaries and other benefits. The protesters led by Samiullah Khalil, Malik Nisar Khan, Momin Khan and others said that they would not accept a 10 percent raise in their salaries.

The said that the government should reconsider the decision and take into account inflation before making such decisions. The protesters asked the government to double their salaries as the prices had gone up more than 200 percent during the last couple of years.
