Pakistani organisation to set up Islamic schools in US

The non-profit Saylani Welfare International Trust has decided to internationalise its educational services by establishing an Islamic School System in the United States (US).


This was disclosed by Saylani Trust Founder and Chairman, Maulana Bashir Farooq Qadri in a meeting with the chief executive officer of his non-profit Bashir Farooq Qadri and chief operating officer Muhammad Ghazzal on his return to Pakistan after a 21-day visit to the US and Turkiye.

The Saylani Trust Chairman disclosed on the occasion that his non-profit had established a five-member education committee in Houston in the state of Texas in the US to establish its Islamic school system.

He mentioned that Saylani Trust’s outlets had also been established on Chicago’s Devon Avenue and Faizan-e-Aisha Mosque in New York. He disclosed that two Turkish organisations had announced the donation of a large number of cows to the trust for the distribution of meat among underprivileged people in Pakistan on the occasion of Eidul Azha.

A Turkish government institution, Diyanet, is going to donate the cows to be sacrificed in Faisalabad while another Turkish non-governmental organisation, Haider, will donate cows for Hyderabad.

He told the Saylani officials that a four-member team from Turkiye would arrive in Pakistan before Eidul Azha to supervise the welfare initiative of sacrificing hundreds of cows and distributing their meat among the deprived people in the backward areas on the outskirts of the two cities. The Saylani Trust Chairman said that during his brief stay in Turkiye, the fourth emergency aid consignment had been dispatched to Gaza from Istanbul on May 4.
