Elon Musk, X owner and Tesla CEO, has accused WhatsApp, a Meta app, of exporting user data every night, in an X post.

Musk said: "WhatsApp exports your user data every night". The billionaire claimed: "Some people still think it is secure."

WhatsApp has not responded to Elon Musk’s allegations yet. However, WABetaInfo, a website providing information about WhatsApp’s latest updates posted a response against Tesla CEO’s post on X.

WABetalnfo said: "It's easy to blame WhatsApp when you have a product to promote, like the X messaging app and its end-to-end encryption. This is the main reason why Elon Musk repeatedly shares misinformation regarding WhatsApp."

"WhatsApp does not share user data every night to create advertisements. It's simply the local backup feature on Android, which always stays on your device. People can verify this by using a network traffic analysis tool to check their HTTP requests," it added.

Earlier from this, Elon Musk has also targeted Meta Platform supervised by Mark Zuckerberg.

The Tesla CEO stated earlier this month that Meta is quite avaricious when it comes to claiming credit for advertising who execute campaigns on its platform. Musk and Zuckerberg are rivals, which is commonly known by the people who follow them

Moreover, both tech personalities were going to have a “cage fight” some time back, which was termed the fight of the century. However, it never happened physically.
