Tangible steps sought to end lawlessness in Waziristan

MIRANSHAH: The recent target-killing incidents by unidentified assailants in North Waziristan have deepened the sense of insecurity among the people who want tangible steps by the administration to put an end to such incidents.

Four separate incidents of target killings were reported in the tribal district in two days. Three people lost lives while one was left seriously injured in these acts.Local and official sources said a local social media activist, Kamran Khan, was targeted and killed by unidentified armed motorcycle riders outside his house in the Tapi village.

The assailants fled the scene after killing the man who was also maintaining a Facebook page under the title of “Waziristan TV”.In another incident, unidentified people shot dead a young man, Fayyaz, in Haiderkhel village of the Mirali tehsil.

Arms-carrying unidentified motorcyclist riders targeted and killed a youth, identified as Imtiaz, in the Mirali Bazaar on Wednesday.The fourth incident of firing took place in Satar Sarobi village on the Razmak Road where a youth, whose name could not be ascertained, was injured in the attack.
