The partnership was unveiled during an event held at the Chairman Secretariat, Karsaz, on Thursday. kWSC Chief Executive Officer Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed was present at the occasion. According to a press statement from the KWSC, the collaboration stemmed from the concerted efforts of the water corporation’s Revenue Recovery Generation Department. As a result of this collaboration, the KWSC’s customers could now conveniently settle their water bills using the JazzCash mobile application or any of the 16,000 JazzCash retail branches spread across the city. This new service empowered customers to settle their bills from the comfort of their homes, marking a significant convenience.

The CEO of the KWSC reiterated the organisation’s commitment to enhancing customer services, emphasising the importance of timely bill payments to enable the corporation to further improve its offerings in the future. He also anticipated that this partnership would bolster the corporation’s revenue streams and augment its customer database.

Arif Mehmood Chaudhry, Head of Public Sector Partnerships at JazzCash, commended the efforts of Ahmed and pledged to collaborate closely to provide enhanced facilities for the city’s residents. He highlighted JazzCash’s extensive reach, boasting 44 million customers and 16,000 agents across the city, which facilitates water bill payments for the KWSC customers.

A spokesperson for the KWSC revealed that JazzCash would also dispatch reminders to customers ten days before the bill’s due date. Overall, this partnership was poised to elevate service standards, boost revenue for the water corporation, and offer greater convenience to customers.
