Hazara Motorway incident: DIG offers fateha for martyred cop

MANSEHRA: Deputy Inspector General of Police, Hazara Range, Tahir Ayub Khan on Tuesday expressed condolence on the martyrdom of the Sub-Inspector Amir Khan in the line of duty last week.

Flanked by District Police Officer Shafiullah Khan Gandapur, he visited the family of martyred Sub-Inspector Amir Khan in Oghi and offered fateha for the departed soul.“Amir Khan laid down his life in the line of duty,” the DIG said.

He said the he and police force stood by the family of the martyred sub-inspector at this difficult juncture.Speaking on the occasion, DPO Gandapur said that two main accused in the murder of martyred cop were arrested within six hours of the incident.

“We have sought a Shaheed package for the family of the martyred cop,” he said. The accused, who had been infuriated over his challan of Rs1500, at Hazara Motorway killed Amir Khan and injured a traffic warden.
