Sudha Reddy dazzled at the Met Gala carpet as the Indian woman who adorned a 180-carat diamond necklace and two solitaire diamond rings worth INR 166 crore.

Her primary responsibilities as a director include corporate social responsibility, partnerships with the community, wellness initiatives, and business ventures in the hospitality industry. In addition, she serves as the Sudha Reddy Foundation's chair.

Reddy is no stranger to the red carpet, despite the fact that the media may not have given her much coverage. She has appeared at fashion weeks such as Paris Haute Couture Week and Paris Fashion Week, the Met Gala in 2021, and most recently, the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Leonardo DiCaprio's Killers of the Flower Moon.

The billionaire and philanthropist from Hyderabad donned an ethereal white custom-made Tarun Tahiliani corsetted bodice, handcrafted with thousands of French knots, Indian couching embroidery, Swarovski crystals and silk thread work, featuring a self-portrait holding the Met gala rose, for this year's “Garden of Time” theme.

In total, 4,500 hours were spent by 80 artisans creating each piece by hand. Moreover, she accessorised it with a vintage Chanel purse that costs more than $40,000 (about INR 33 lakh).
