CDA chairman inspects facilities in Capital Hospital

Islamabad: Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Monday undertook surprise visit of Capital Hospital and expressed his dissatisfaction with cleanliness and security arrangements of the health facility.

The CDA chairman angered with unhygienic conditions of the hospital and directed the management to improve cleanliness of hospital. He was also unhappy with security measures and issued warning to the security officer on the spot. He also directed for further improvement of health treatment facilities for patients and also took notice of faulty MRI machine.

The chairman asked the management to make the MRI operational and present a report to him immediately. Meanwhile, the patients visiting hospital for treatment have also demanded of the chairman to take notice of technical staff associated with the hospital who are performing administrative and technical jobs in private sectors. The patients are of the view that such technical and managerial staff neglect duties at Capital Hospital and perform private jobs efficiently.

Randhawa also visited 1122 Rescue centre, received an emergency call and dispatched an ambulance to the caller. Meanwhile, the CDA chairman who also holds post of Chief Commissioner Islamabad has directed officials concerned to complete model prison hospital in 100 days.

Chairing a meeting here on Monday, he maintained that no more delay would be acceptable in completion of the project. Inspector General of Police Islamabad and officials of Pak PWD also attended the meeting. The meeting was informed 73% work on administration block, 98% work on boundary wall 42% work on male block has been completed. The Chief Commissioner while visiting Citizens Facilitation Centre, directed for making public dealing counter open from 9 am to 9 p.m. He also ordered that all the record should be digitalized.
