Apple iPhone 16 models are reportedly expected to have prominent camera features as well as enhanced technology, display size and overall design.

Indicating a potential focus on spatial video capture, a vertical array has been adopted in new Apple iPhone 16 models. This could also help in revolutionising how users interact with their surroundings in videos, according to Macrumors.

To push the boundaries of smartphone photography and videography, the innovation aligns with Apple’s consistent efforts.

The iPhone 16 Pro models are anticipated to include an improved 48-megapixel Ultra Wide lens, which will allow improved images in lower lighting conditions.

Using pixel binning to combine the data from four pixels into one "super pixel" for better image quality., the new iPhone 16 camera will probably function like the 48-megapixel Wide camera.

An eight-part hybrid lens with two glass elements and six plastic elements will also be provided by the 48-megapixel wide-angle camera used in the iPhone 16 Pro Max. This will also feature improvements for the telephoto and ultra wide camera lenses.

Instead of the technology being limited to the larger Pro Max, both the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max could get 5x Telephoto lenses in 2024.

Interestingly, the iPhone 16 Pro Max could also feature a super telephoto periscope camera. This will give a dramatically increased optical zoom option in the new camera. It has not been backed up by a credible source, however, a Weibo account confirms this option.

"Cameras with a focal length of over 300mm are usually described as “super” or “ultra” telephoto. Moreover, there could be a notable increase in zoom capabilities, if the current telephoto lens accurately becomes equivalent to a 77mm lens.
