ISLAMABAD: The federal government has amended the policy for search of head-hunting firms for making appointments of professionals in ministries and divisions.

The prime minister had devolved more of his powers to ministers, ministers of state and advisors who would now approve hiring of firms for appointment of professionals. Previously, the approval of prime minister was required to hire head-hunting firms.

The federal cabinet accorded approval to amendments in policy to hire firms. The Establishment Division, while playing the lead role, would establish a common pool for the head-hunting firms under the PPRA rules and regulations.

Previously, the federal cabinet had okayed approval in Special Pay Scales Policy 2019 according to which the prime minister devolved his powers to ministers, ministers of state and advisers for creation of key posts and making appointments on important posts.
