The court approved the interim bail of the PTI leaders against surety bonds of Rs5,000 each, here on Monday. The PTI counsel told the court that the administration registered a baseless and false case against the party leaders. He added that every time the PTI organized a peaceful rally, cases were registered against it.

Earlier, Omar Ayub’s interim bail was extended in a vandalism case. Talking to the media, he claimed that 95 ‘fake’ cases had been registered against him under sections of murder, attempt to murder and terrorism.

He demanded the release of all PTI workers including former prime minister Imran Khan. Omar Ayub also demanded formation of an independent commission to investigate the events surrounding the May 9 riots, when the public and military installations were vandalised.
