Artefacts found in Faisalabad school

LAHORE: Artifacts have been discovered from Government Model High School, Rail Bazar, Faisalabad.

Punjab School Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said that the school, founded in Lyallpur in 1939, was located in a Gurdwara. He said that the name of the school was Khalsa Girls Middle School, Lyallpur Gurdwara. He said that among the artifacts made of metal are rifles, shields, swords and helmets and added that the artifacts found in the basement of the school would be handed over to the Archeology Department.

He said that the historical building in which the school was located would also be taken care of.
