Zartaj Gul appeared before the court Thursday and after arguments from the lawyers the judge granted interim bail to Zartaj Gul until May 10, 2024.

It is noteworthy that Zartaj Gul has been named in the case of the attack on a forces check post at Rahwali Cantt, Gujranwala, during a protest on May 9, 2023.

Speaking to the media after appearing in the court, Zartaj Gul said that many patriotic citizens have been falsely implicated in terrorism cases.

“On May 9, I was present in Dera Ghazi Khan, while cases of terrorism have been filed against me throughout Punjab,” she said.

She said: “Original terrorists are running rampant in the country, while PTI leaders are being branded as terrorists on political grounds. Attempts are being made to depict that the doors of justice have been closed.

In the general election, people had selectively voted for PTI representatives, yet the election results were being tampered with. The performance of the Punjab chief minister is questionable.

We will continue to raise our voices for the welfare of the people and the upholding of the Constitution. We welcomed the delegation of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan for investment, and we shall also welcome the visit of the president of Iran to Pakistan.”
