PTI practically did nothing for people, says Azma

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Punjab Azma Zahid Bokhari said that the administration of Punjab was taking steps to ensure availability of roti, naan on notified rates. “We have reduced the price of naan and roti after completing homework,” she expressed these views while addressing a press conference in DGPR Lahore on Monday.

She said that PMLN always started mega projects like CPEC, motorways, and eradication of load shedding. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is considered as the best administrator in all the provinces of the country.

Azma Bokhari said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was following the footsteps of her elders in terms of development in Punjab. “The Punjab government has reduced the price of roti by four rupees but PTI government did nothing for the people but only propaganda,” she added.

Answering a question, she said that the Air Ambulance scheme was on the papers since 2004 but CM Maryam Nawaz completed the plan in a month and a half and now the rescue personnel were taking training of the this great facility.

Azma said that an airplane and two helicopters were also part of this initiative and all facilities of Air Ambulance will be totally free for the common man. She further said air ambulances will be stationed at three different places. “Being elder brother, Punjab will provide the service of air ambulance in all parts of the country,” she asserted.

She informed that the flour was Rs35 per kg in the first term of Nawaz Sharif and Sasti Roti was Shehbaz Sharif's plan. “And now our government has reduced the price of a bag of 20 kg flour by five hundred rupees”.

Azma said that Kisan Etihad representatives were being taken on board regarding the support price of wheat. “It was not the job of the Naan Bai Association but the government of Punjab to regulate the prices of things”.

While responding to a question she said that the Punjab government was also taking steps to provide modern agriculture machinery, pesticides, and seeds to the farmers. “We are taking steps to bring all modern agriculture tools in Pakistan that are being used in the developed world,” she maintained.

To a question about health cards, Azma cleared that those who can afford health facilities on their own will not get health cards. “The healthcare system will be improved further and better treatment will be provided to masses through the health cards”.
