All uplift projects to be completed in time, says Safdar

MANSEHRA: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader Captain (Retd) Mohammad Safdar said on Monday all mega development projects inaugurated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the Hazara division would be completed in time.

“Shehbaz Sharif during his previous tenure as prime minister had visited Mansehra and Torghar and inaugurated, and announced mega development projects which would be completed as scheduled,” he said while speaking to his party’s office bearers from Oghi.

Safdar said that Shehbaz Sharif was the only prime minister in the history of the county who had visited the Torghar and inaugurated work on multi-billion roads, dams, and electricity projects.

“The federal government will also earmark funds for these and other development projects inaugurated in Torghar, Mansehra and the rest of the Hazara division,” he said. The PMLN leader said that work on the Khaki tunnel and 18-kilometre road as its extension to link Hazara Expressway with Oghi, Tanawal and even Torghar would be initiated shortly the under China China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

“This rupee multibillion project is a state-of-the-art initiative and would link Oghi with the Khaki area of Mansehra through the tunnel, and then with an 18km artery shifting traffic burden from Mansehra-Oghi road and Karakoram Highway,” he said.

Safdar, who is the spouse of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, said that work on the Manchora dam which was suspended by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government would be resumed shortly. “We would not only resume work on this project but launch work on Shungli dam as well,” he said.

The former lawmaker from NA-15 Mansehra cum Torghar constituency said that electricity, roads, natural gas and water supply schemes which Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated in the past during his visit here would be completed.Speaking on the occasion Munir Tanoli hoped these mega-development projects would bring about prosperity and development in the region.
