Sindh Culture and Tourism Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah has taken notice of the reports that emerged on social media about unauthorised parking fees being collected from vehicles of visitors to the world-famous archaeological site of Mohen-Jo-Daro in the province.

The culture minister has asked Sindh Director for Archaeology and Antiquities Abdul Fateh Sheikh to conduct a thorough probe into the reports and submit findings to him. He asked the officials concerned to constitute an inquiry committee and complete the investigation into the issue in three days. He also directed the officials concerned to take action against the elements involved in the collection of the unauthorised parking fee. Shah said the provincial government would not tolerate such unjust treatment meted out to the people visiting an archaeological site for recreation, educational and research purposes.

The culture minister expressed the resolve of the Sindh government to extend maximum recreational facilities to the people of the province. He said that no concession would be offered to people involved in fleecing the unsuspecting public.
