Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar on Saturday issued a statement on Pakistan Day and paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal for the role in the creation of Pakistan.
He said March 23 reminds us of the day when we became a nation and laid the foundation of the creation of Pakistan.
“Quaid-e-Azam’s dynamic leadership and Muslims of India gave a purpose to make Pakistan a separate country. Exactly seven years later, the Objectives Resolution gave us an independent and sovereign state in the form of Pakistan,” he said in the statement.
The British empire succumbed to the unity of the Muslims, Lanjar said and added that we have to become a nation and make the dream of Allama Iqbal and the thoughts of the Father of the Nation a beacon. This country has to be made invincible by following faith, unity, organization, he said.
He added that the President Asif Ali Zardari’s conciliatory approach has to be adopted, and The thinking and the young leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has to be made the aim of the youth of this country.
Meanwhile, the home minister issued a message on the birth anniversary of Begum Nusrat Bhutto. He paid rich tribute to Begum Nusrat Bhutto for her services.
“Begum Nusrat Bhutto made immense sacrifices for the survival of democracy and democracy. The mother of democracy had to bear the judicial murder of her great husband Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto,” he said and added that for the sake of democracy, the mother of democracy had to suffer imprisonment.
He remarked that there is no example of sacrifices like the Bhutto family in political history, and even today the Bhutto family is alive in the hearts of the people.
