Al Khidmat organises Iftar-dinner

Islamabad: The Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan (AKFP) organised an Iftar-dinner for foreign diplomats and bureaucrats to apprise them of welfare activities of the foundation.

Turk ambassador in Islamabad Mehmet Paçac and diplomats from Canada, Malaysia, Japan, Palestine and Jordan, bureaucrats and retired officers of armed forces attended the event. Speaking on the occasion, the AKFP President Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that the foundation spent Rs21.49 billion to help out 20.5 million deserving Pakistanis during the year 2023.

He said that so far the foundation had spent over Rs1.70 billion on relief activities for the Palestinians while airlifting and shipment of relief goods was still continuing.

He said that the foundation spends Rs2.50 billion on 30,000 orphan children every year while Rs7.50 billion were spent on the healthcare programme during the last year.

The foundation has released 5,259 scholarships worth Rs436 million while 14,125 people were given Rs430 million loan without interest. Air Marshal (r) Farooq Habib (vice president) and President of the foundation for North Punjab Rizwan Ahmad, secretary general Numair Hussain Madani and others attended the function.
