Bilawal urges urgent action to recuse missing fishermen

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed deep concern over recent media reports detailing the disappearance of 14 fishermen after a boat capsized in the open sea near Thatta.

He urged the relevant authorities to urgently mobilise all available resources for the immediate rescue of the missing fishermen. "My thoughts are with the affected families during this distressing time, and I fervently hope for the safe return of the missing fishermen to their homes," he said in a statement on Thursday.

Emphasizing the need for a comprehensive and modernized approach to rescue operations, the PPP chairman said: "It is imperative to enhance the capabilities of our rescue operations for fishermen to prevent such tragic accidents in the future and swiftly respond to emergencies at sea." He said the PPP stood united in its commitment to the safety and security of maritime communities.
