‘Record uplift projects completed’

LAHORE: Punjab Minister Ibrahim Hasan Murad Thursday said the caretaker government of the province has performed unprecedentedly in a short period.

He said due to the economic initiatives of the caretaker set-up, the country’s economy is improving, while the completion of record development projects made possible in the province.

The minister said if we talk about development projects, it is important to mention that 1,400 hospitals were built and repaired throughout the province, 1,700 km of roads were constructed, and $4 billion worth of cotton was cultivated to counter import of cotton, Baldia App 1198 was launched to solve public problems, revolving loan of Rs 560 billion was returned, Cavalry underpass construction was possible in two and a half months instead of six months, Bedian Road Nawaz Sharif Interchange Underpass, Khalid Butt Chowk Underpass, Samanabad Underpass, Shahadra Flyover, Akbar Chowk, Flyover, Chungi Amar Sadhu Fly Ghora Chowk Flyover all the projects were completed on time.

He emphasised that the nation’s money was also saved in the projects, while the citizens are benefiting from such projects, be it the Ring Road SL 3 project or Gujranwala Aymanabad Motorway.
