ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan’s notification declaring Istehkam Pakistan Party (IPP) leader Abdul Aleem Khan as returned candidate from NA-117 has been challenged in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
PTI backed independent candidate advocate Ali Ijaz Buttar challenged the success of Abdul Alim Khan in the IHC.
The petitioner requested the court to annul Form 47, which was issued on February 9, besides suspending the notification of success issued on February 15. He also prayed the court to issue order of compiling the result in the presence of all candidates and requested the court to summon the relevant record from ECP and Returning Officer (RO).
