The PCG spokesman said that six buses and other small vehicles of Al Mahmood Bus Transport Company, coming to Karachi from Quetta, and carrying betel nuts and other prohibited items, were stopped for a search at the Kothal Road checkpoint in the early hours.

He said that during the checking Dadgai misbehaved with the PCG staff on duty so that they could not search the vehicles, adding that during this time a bus driver took the bus towards the road, then Dadgai torched it with the help of the driver and Munshi Naimatullah. He also said Dadgai succeeded in escaping, but Munshi was detained.

The spokesman said the PCG called the fire brigade to douse the fire, adding that the PCG censures every such illegal act, is committed to preventing all kinds of smuggling, and plays its role in strengthening the country’s economy by continuing its operation without any pressure.
